Current Role: CEO & Co-Founder - Cliquefluence
Did you always aspire to be in the job position you currently hold?
Yes I have. From a very young age, I’ve always had an entrepreneurship spirit starting little businesses like buying and reselling stuff from garage sales in year 7 to writing resumes for students in year 10 and 11.
What have you done since leaving CTHS?
I started a tech Uber like, crowdsourced delivery platform connecting small businesses with drivers straight out of HighSchool. This venture was acquired by Go People. I am currently the CEO and Co-Founder of Cliquefluence. We are taking on the $20 billion influencer marketing industry to build brands and grow sales with our platform. We have just secured over $165k in seed funding which is 35% of our $450k goal. My team is working hard to build real Innovation in the digital marketing industry, specifically Influencer Marketing.
Describe your average work day....
6am wake ups for mindful meditation and working out. Broader team meetings throughout the day. Product roadmap and strategy planning everyday. Investor conversations and go to market planning.
Please share some words of wisdom for today's students...
One of my favourite quotes from Walt Disney is “all our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them”. A personal word from me: whenever you feel like giving up, remember why you started doing this in the first place.
Any shoutouts to a special teacher or subject you think really helped?
Mrs Kumar, business studies. I credit a lot of my motivation for business to her. She really helped kick start my grind.
What were the greatest lessons you learned at CTHS that you have carried with you into your career?
Organisational skills, give respect and get respect , always make smart decisions and hard work pays off every time.
What piece of advice do you have for students today given your experience in the working world?
Set goals for yourself and find a friend, teacher or mentor to hold you accountable to reaching those goals.
