A school opened in 1992

2022 marks the 30th anniversary of CTHS. Nick Greiner, the then Premier, officially opened our purpose built Technology High on 15 May 1992. At that time it was anticipated the school would grow to 800 students and would work in partnership with IBM to build a technology focussed school. While things may not have worked out as originally imagined, CTHS has grown (and grown and grown) to become a school which consistently achieves outstanding results, continues to use technology to expedite and improve learning and is recognised nationally and internationally as an outstanding educational facility.

2022 also represents a personal milestone for Gary Johnson being his twentieth as Principal. As he phrased it in his operning remarks of the year "an extraordinary privilege and one for which I remain very grateful".
